#CrissmansCanvas Some think it’s by chance, but I know better. People are placed in our lives for a specific purpose. When you have the privilege of meeting someone who you connect with on a spiritual level, the chemistry of the relationship ignites passions inside you that were there, buried deep down, waiting to be awakened. When people meet, a symphony of colorful hues are exchanged in the spirit form, and as they get to know one another on a deeper level, the brilliance... and radiance of the colors grow in vibrancy. We take those colors, those imprints of our relationships, and carry them with us, adding to our own vibrancy of saturated definitions of our soul. Just as each relationship produces a unique display of color combinations, no two relationships are the same. The series of canvases that are set to hang on the stage of Goose and Chey’s are a reflection of the brilliance and radiance of their relationship. The color palette symbolizes the saturated definitions of their souls, pouring into the people lucky enough to call them family and friend. As you look at the artwork as a whole, the eye follows a specific movement. It is the melody of their combined taste in music, represented in a graphic state. Just as the unique connection of relationships cannot be duplicated, these works of art that hang here are one of a kind. Diptych Set Title: Waves of Wonder These beauties were custom made for my children's playroom over New Years Eve/Day 2018. Usually the biggest obstacle holding us back is ourselves. Don't be afraid to fail, because you will always fail forward as long as your goal is to grow. #cowboywrenchhands #makeyourhouseahome #crissmanscanvas

This Trio. Wow, just wow. There are so many emotions wrapped up in this project. I have had these canvases for YEARS. Fear, lack of self confidence, lack of physical ability, and self doubt had held me back from even dreaming about what they could be. As Casey hung them in our family room, I can't help but act like a giddy child, clapping my hands and jumping up and down, smiling ear to ear. What a way to kick off the New Year. #Crissmanscanvas #makeyourhouseahome #maketimeforyourpassion #cowboywrenchhands

Circa: 2005 Identity Entrapment Multimedia Installation Todd Madigan Gallery CSUB... This was my senior project for my Bachelor of Arts degree. Did you write a paper or take a really hard test? I had to create mine out of thin air, present to a panel before construction, build by a deadline, and provide a synopsis of what it was exactly. SOOO what is it? A guy and gal trapped in bondage by the government issued identity that has been assigned to each and everyone of us beginning at birth. SS #, driver's licence, credit card numbers, credit scores, you know them all. I think this example of just how much control this type of identity affects us is even more evident now as identity theft can completely ruin you, creating much headache and heartache trying to dig your way out. The models used were friends of mine who worked at Petco with me. I cast their naked bodies in plaster molds and attached them to 2 eight ft frames, covered it in liquid nails, and painted them white. I made a collage of my "identity" on photoshop and projected it over the models using 2 data projectors, one for each side. The piece stood in the middle of the gallery, free standing, so that you could walk around the entire piece. The use of the projectors symbolized how this identity is not a part of us, but rather projected onto us whether we like it or not. I am not agreeing nor disagreeing with the importance of this identity, simply drawing attention to it. These are the only pictures I have left of this project. One is of the piece without the projectors running, then other is the front side of the guy with the projector on. If you are wondering if the entire male and female body was displayed - the answer if YES!! Thank you for reading all of this! Please leave a comment with your thoughts, I'd love to hear them! #Crissmanscanvas #seniorproject

This is Vincent, a local geologist. He saw my paintings in a restaurant 2 YEARS AGO, and decided last month to contact me for a custom painting! Can you believe that?!?! I met him today with my Dad as my bodyguard thanks Dad. He chose the "top" painting, if you have been following along with the other posts. Thank you for being a part of the process!! #Crissmanscanvas #dowhatyoulove #cowboywrenchhands
