Crest Ranch Christmas Tree Farm 01.04.2021

We have begun to replant. It's been a little over 6 months since the CZU Fire. We still have quite a bit of hand planting to do, but things are starting to turn around. Most burnt trees have been cleared and chipped. Once the seedlings are planted we will focus on a watering system. (pictures are of the same area from different directions)

We appreciate your ongoing support and wish we were able to accommodate all. Due to the CZU lightning fire we were only able to be open for the extended Thanksgiving weekend this year. We will be preparing the field & replanting. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to be included in volunteer events or if you have a service that might help us to reestablish the farm. Best wishes for a Happy Holiday season from our family to yours.... We look forward to continuing this wonderful family tradition! https://gf.me/u/ysqdsw See more

After returning to the property and having time to more carefully and thoroughly continue our damage assessment, we're excited to announce.... Crest Ranch WILL be open for ONE WEEKEND this season! PLEASE visit our website before your visit at CrestRanch.com and read below for more info! We have a limited amount of trees compared to our normal stock and we are keeping your safety our highest priority, which is why our opening will be brief. We are excited nonetheless that we w...ill be able to welcome many of you back this year. We will be OPEN Nov. 26-29, 8am-4pm, while the tree supply lasts. COVID-19 protocol will be followed. Please be sure to wear face coverings while in our compound area. In future years Crest Ranch will have both familiar and new traditions you can look forward to. Thank you for your patience & understanding as we recover from the fires. Tremendous thanks to all who have donated to the GoFundMe fundraiser, shared our social media posts, sent us inspiring family photos, and offered your thoughts and warmth in other ways. 2020 has been a tumultuous year for everyone. After so much uncertainty, we're happy to be able to provide an opportunity for a small piece of continuity and familiarity by celebrating the holiday season with us! **For those of you searching for the GoFundMe page, it can be found here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/crestranchfire

THANK YOU, FarmMade for including us in your September FarmSavers program! We LOVE your mission! If you haven't heard of Farm Made, they aim "to preserve and celebrate {farming} skills and family farm traditions through sharing cultural recipes, farm stories and handmade crafts that date back hundreds if not thousands of years. Everything we do at FarmMade is with deep reverence and love for farmers and all things farm. We invite you to join us on our journey of purposeful l...iving, by farm hopping from region to region, in search of a wholesomeness that can only be found on a farm." Go check them out and THANK YOU again! As you'll see, we are not the only farm (or family) that's been impacted by these horrendous fires. https://www.farmmade.com/farmmade-farmsavers/

We are dedicated to YOU and YOUR families... but you've shown us how much you, in turn, are dedicated to us and ours!! We haven't had the time to comb through all of your incredible comments and messages, but we have seen many of your creative suggestions for ways to move forward in reviving Crest Ranch. We are taking a breath, thinking everything through, and will keep you updated with how the coming seasons could look for us all! https://www.ksbw.com//forty-acres-at-crest-ranch-/33844007
