Taking a detour. . . When physical distancing started, I was so unsure of everything. Was this a chance to pause, then go back to business as usual? Or would it be something longer term that would mean a different plan? After these months of trying and weighing different options, I'm happy to say that the path for Craftiful has become clear. The focus for Craftiful during the pandemic will be on providing an amazing collection of craft kits from artists, makers, and smal...l businesses including our own terrarium kits and on offering online terrarium workshops. I'm working with an awesome company on an exciting redesign of the website and online store so we can offer things like a craft rewards program (yay!). I'll send out more details as we get closer. At this point, I don't foresee having people physically back in the studio for the foreseeable future for a few reasons. In addition to the safety concerns, the amount of effort that would be needed to convert and clean the space between being a craft warehouse/ kit assembly station/shipping station to an in-person studio and back again feels overwhelming. While it remains to be seen if this detour will eventually lead us back to the same road we were on pre-COVID or to a new one, I miss seeing you all and my goal is to still do in-person crafting again when the time is right. Currently enjoying the evening with my first crochet project in the hammock wearing a kaftan. Can someone please bring me a drink? I stumbled across @coastalcrochet Seaside Stash Busting Blanket late last week and fell in love.
