It’s Femineer Friday! Every Friday, we’ll highlight our Femineer Program. This includes its nationwide K-12 outreach efforts, the young women who benefit from the program and the people who make it possible. Aerospace engineering student Andres Colon dives into the art of making playdough. Unsurprisingly, he is minoring in culinology. ABOUT THE FEMINEER PROGRAM: Founded in Cal Poly Pomona, this program is now across the nation in six states. 100+ schools participate ...in the Femineer Program and 2000+ K-12 female students are engaged in project-based learning. #femineerfridays #femineer #calpolypomona #cpp #cppengineering See more

For me, the 19th Amendment and the right for women to vote means that we have a voice. We have a voice to elect representatives who share our priorities. We have a voice for change. We have a voice to advance our country for all members of our society. Dr. Cordelia Ontiveros, chemical and materials engineering professor emerita. In celebration of America’s 100th anniversary of the women’s suffrage movement, Dr. Cordelia Ontiveros shared an essay on the movement's meaning to her in the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity's (NAPE) Many Facets.
