Cracked Pepper Bistro Wednesday, December 23, will be our temporary last day of operation until after the 1st of the year when restriction guidelines begin to lift, and we can again continue operating at some capacity with our indoor and outdoor dining. Again, this is not permanent but in order to successfully operate, restaurants need to be able to seat at 50% capacity to break even and given the current situation, this is just not possible at this immediate time and with ju...st doing to go food. Back again to a complete empty restaurant. For the last nine months we have been running on fumes and again the restaurant industry takes center stage as the scapegoat for the governors in highly publicized states like New York & California while so many big box stores are operating with droves of people within and crowded outside waiting to pile in. We have a governor that claims he can feel our pain, stating he himself is a restaurant owner and understands our struggles b...ut this governor is an investor who would prefer to brag about only having ownership and not truly understanding the concept of actual work in a restaurant itself. The difference between leaders such as our governor and the rest of us working industry people is that we need the income from our Establishments to survive, to pay our employees, and to take care of our families. We have no voice in this ongoing battle. Our city officials have turned their back on us with no trace of them in sight. So Fresno, we need your help more then ever. Stop supporting the chain stores.
