We’re in love with breeze blocks!! We incorporated them into a bathroom last year to provide a visual separation to separate the toilet from the rest of the room. We look forward to photographing that bathroom soon and sharing the pics. Inside the house we usually use a smoother finish from our favorite vendors rather than your typical rough cinder block as they are easier to clean and look a bit more refined. Instead the 56th Pasadena Showcase House will he held virtually, but will be equally as fabulous as past years. Sharing this photo of a luxury kitchen loft we completed over a year ago but just got around to photographing. I love it even more now. It’s so sexy, moody and exactly what the client wanted!! There wasn’t much space so we built up and used a rolling library ladder for additional storage. When the ceiling is 13 high, you can do that! We’ll be sharing more of this #Pasadena project soon!! Just a little sneak peek of the glass curtain we had commissioned in Murano, Italy for the Breakfast Room for the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts. We think it’s pretty stunning and know that you’ll think so too. In keeping with this year’s theme of sustainability, we also chose to showcase up-cycled art - this particular piece made of Hermès shopping bags and laser cut butterflies made of vintage Hermès silk scarves. Sometimes it isn’t just about how your cabinetry looks on the outside, it’s being smart about what you put on the inside, too. There are so many great products out there and when tackling a small laundry room like we did here, we utilized every nook and cranny without making it feel cramped. When you open the doors to the upper cabinets, you can pull down the top shelf so that you have more usable and easily accessible storage. You never have to fumble around with an awkward... ironing board, as it’s always within reach and is concealed when not in use. We can’t wait until our new showroom is finished as we’ll be able to show you all the fun space saving and ergonomic bells and whistles that you can incorporate into your cabinetry. We’re always searching high and low for the newest and most innovative products for the home and here is one our our favorites- light switches and dimmers with an industrial edge . Don’t you love the knurled detailing? Here they are shown in a combo of black and brass. This photo was taken in our room for this year’s Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts But we also have them available in a variety of other colors and finishes in our retail and to the trade showroom. Don't forget to look up! We've been busy preparing our room for this year's Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts which this year will be held virtually (which makes for a different experience from years past. ) But as we always look for the postive in every unfortunate situation, this year each viewer will be able to really go in and have time to study each room - you won't have to rush through and you'll be able to take the time to look up! Oftentimes visitors miss the little details and this year you can spend as much time in each room. Here's a view of the chandelier that we had commissioned in Murano, Italy, which will be one of the highlights of the room. We can't wait to show you our room in its entirety!
