#gettingtoknoweachother Day 22 About me: Yes, I watch and love This Is Us. No, it’s not just because of the triplets. Everything about it is amazing. From the writing to the acting. About LA: The Santa Monica Pier was originally designed to protect a sewage pipe that dumped treated sewage into the ocean.... About you: ? #gettingtoknoweachother Day 21 About me: I love Starbucks a little too much. My warm weather happiness in a cup: mocha Frappuccino with coconut milk and no whip. My cold weather happiness in a cup: peppermint mocha with coconut milk no whip. Cold weather might have to be replaced with holiday now that I’m out here! About LA: The Pacific Wheel at Pacific Park is the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel. ... About you: ? (Continuing on our music theme: i ventured to the choir room and found this lovely drawing. Anyone know the history?)

#gettingtoknoweachother Day 19 and 20 About me: I love dance. I have watched most seasons of So You Think You Can Dance. I saw the Alvin Ailey dancers in person. I would love to see the Radio City Rockettes live (they’re totally my favorite part of the Macy’s parade). I was cast as a dancer for my high schools spring musical Fiddler On the Roof. During the summer that followed, I got a dog and named her Golde. (I think that’s day days worth of stuff right?) Oh, and one of the... other dancers was later cast as Kate Beckett in the show Castle (also a favorite). About LA: In 1996, Charlie Sheen bought 2,615 outfield seats at Angels Stadium in nearby Anaheimso he could catch a home run ball. He came up empty handed. About you: ? #gettingtoknoweachother Day 14 About me: I LOVE the bagpipes. The more I put this out there the more I will hold myself accountable for trying to accomplish the life goal: I want to be the Presbyterian Minsiter who plays the bagpipes in worship on Reformation Sunday. I’m not sure how this passion began but it may have been the bagpipe postlude at worship many years ago. About LA: By 1923, Los Angeles produced one quarter of the world’s oil. It still sits atop the third large...st oil field in the country! (Did i do this one already?) About you:? (Picture from Covenant’s preschool campus)

#gettingtoknoweachother Day 13 About me: I’ve broken four bones between the ages of 21 months and 11 years. I guess i was a clumsy kid. The gerbil was too hard to resist and i put a folder chair on top of another chair to see it. When I fell the chair folded with my arm in it. When I was 21 months old. Thankfully my climber Logan is not that reckless. About LA: L.A. is home to the largest boulder ever transporteda 340-ton chunk of granite that hit the road in 2012. It took ...11 days to move it just 85 miles to its home at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. About you: ? (Picture from Covenants campus)

#gettingtoknoweachother Day 10 (just a day late) About me: The first thing I ever bought on my own with money I made stapling together packets for my Dads classes was a stuffed animal ALF. I had wanted it for weeks. Then the weekend after i bought it a talking ALF came out. Oh well. The first thing the girls bought on their own on the drive to move to LA was a giant stuffed flamingo. #proudmama #likemotherlikedaughters About LA: How did the film industry end up in LA? To get ...away from Thomas Edison. Edisonwho lived in New Jerseyheld most of the country’s film patents. Filmmakers fled westward to avoid Edison’s intellectual property claims. (And the. Of course there’s Cecile B DeMille and his major tricks) About you: ? (Picture from the Covenant church campus)

#gettingtoknoweachother forgot yesterday so here’s day 6 and 7 About me: Both my brothers can draw really well. I was blessed with the ability to draw a stick figure. Corn is one of my favorite foods. About LA: Not many people consider visiting the coroner to finish their holiday shopping. But if you do, the LA coroner’s office has a gift shop. When it rains in LA, it pours. On April 5, 1926, a gauge in the San Gabriel Mountains collected an inch of rain in just one minute.... About you: ? Picture from the church campus. Do you know where this is at?
