The LongRanger helicopter was rigged with LiDAR equipment before heading out on a mission for the acquisition of data used in mapping utility infrastructure. Assuring the integrity of the utility poles and powerlines is critical in preventing the utilities from becoming a source of fires.

The day started early at Riverside airport. The helicopter greeted the sunrise and after their coffee, the crew began the job of lifting the old air conditioners off of the roof and replacing the new AC units in position.
