This car was already running strong on the DS-420X system for 60+ hours and the bottom end was reviewed and passed all tests and inspection. Prior to tear down we leak down tested the battle torn race engine at 2.5% leak in each cylinder which is wonderful. Don’t use High gear when slow maneuvering! Truck was lifted so this was even steeper in person. We advised to use our RipnDip jump at the end of our street to load for a reduced ramp angle, and low gear. Worked like a charm. We also had an additional 11 cars picked up from Saturday to Wednesday with completed services from tires and clutching to full tuning builds. Got the bad news for our boys @thegoodnewsracing at least these young men finished their race! This sucks but things really do come in pairs over here. Two cars here with blown head gaskets. Both massively overheated with warped heads. The second and third images show the melted water pump gears from the overheat which actually caused the idler gear to break and loose teeth. Clearly not a gear failure, failure of the gears was subsequent to the overheat condition. Troubleshoo...ting on the black car required a coolant contamination test as shown. Green car had the obvious white exhaust smoke. If you’re car is overheating; SHUT IT DOWN! We will be surfacing the heads, performing a valve job and replacing all of these drive gears, flushing out the oil and cooling systems and these cars will be like new again.
