The sun rises - Legionnares are awake The post is going to work. New Christmas lights installed to give our guests more illumination while they eat, and carry us on into the holiday season. Cooking committee with our Auxiliary perfecting our authentic German meal. Fresh baked rolls right out of the oven, authentic German recipe that’s been handed down for generations. Marination, care in the ingredients, above and beyond. ... Legionnares installing a flag donation box - because Freedom. Old Glory needs to be retired honorably. Auxiliary ladies blowing up balloons, ironing table cloths, putting together centerpieces and decorations. Legionnares rolling out tables, setting up canopies and hanging lights. Legionnares and auxiliary mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, stoking the canteen. Hundred of hours. Separate missions - All executed flawlessly. Thank you. We could have done what everyone else is doing which is...to close. We committed to our Community and our Legion Family. We will Persevere, Adapt & Overcome. That was the story of One Day - Oktoberfest 2020!

742 and Post 53 came to support Post 289. Representatives Post 742 Commander David Brambila and Post 53 Commander Joe Males presented checks for Commander Irish Mike. Squadron 742 representatives - Finance Officer Larry Hernandez and youngest member Jacob Brambila also presented a check to Commander Irish Mike. We are all Veterans and we will support our neighbors our brothers when they are down. Thieves stole their tools but it was a blessing in disguise. The support from other Posts, their community and membership is amazing.

Oktoberfest is still a go! We will be having our 3rd annual dinner at Post 742 Friday @ 5:00. Come down and join us for a great German meal.
