Vulnerable post ahead... Keeping your family and little one safe is always my number one priority. And that is why I have complied with completely shutting down my business while some others have not. I'm going to be completely honest here. I've had no words... and really have had nothing much to say since March 19th, the day I was told I was no longer allowed to run my business. I am no longer allowed to serve my clients and capture th...eir most precious memories. All of my husband's scheduled work was gone after one speech. Our business was deemed non-essential... both devastating blows not only to our family but also to the clients we LOVE to serve with custom artwork. It's a little over a month later and I am still at a loss for words, I am still in shock and in a state of deep sadness. For me, what I do IS essential. You can never get these moments back... that belly, those first few weeks of change with your newborn, their milestones in the first year of life. You never get any of that back. EVER. My depression has kept me from posting all of my usual content because I just don't feel like I have the right words to say or the right to content to help people through this. Nothing is "normal" right now and if I told you I wasn't struggling I would be lying...and that is just not me. I want to be transparent because I feel like moms and dads deserve authenticity always. I'm so sad for my clients and deeply hurt that my business has had to close its doors but I want you to know that it's only temporary. And a reminder that I am here for my clients wether I can see you or not. And I will be here waiting for you to document your most precious moments just as soon as I can. Omg is there anything sweeter than a daddy snuggling his sweet new daughter with the best smile on his face.

All I need is love in my family.

How long until your sweet baby doesn’t fit in your hand anymore? I’ll tell you this much. It’s not long!!! They grow so much faster than you can possibly imagine. I swear my 5 year old is going to outgrown me in a few years! These parents are lucky. They have this moment of being able to hold their daughter their hands captured in time. I know your children will be held in your heart forever, but it’s not long before they outgrow your hands. Capture the moment y’all, because you will never get it back.

Yea, daylight savings and photoshoots had me shook yesterday and I forgot to post. so instead of Happy Monday....HAPPY TUESDAY. I mean seriously how amazing is this moms smile. It just puts a smile on my face! Her family is complete now that she is holding her precious girl. I am excited to share this families story with you. It’s pretty remarkable and inspiring. Studio maternity. I love it so much! Why? Because it is so different! I love the ability to use my @profotousa strobes and our knowledge of light create anything I want. Unique styles and looks you can’t get just anywhere or from anyone. My goal is to not only customize your photoshoot to YOU but also use lighting to create a look that is for lack of a better word. RAD.

How all of our kids are going to be tomorrow night at bedtime....why do we still do daylight savings?! I always think about all of the sweet mammas up with their babies, trying to transition them to this new bedtime.

All snuggled up in daddy’s arms. Sooner rather than later she will be to big to fit. But I’m sure this dad, will hold his baby girl in his arms and heart forever.

Tiny details. When know every mom lays awake (when they should try to be sleep, because sleep when they baby sleeps right? ) staring at every detail of what makes their sweet baby unique. I take the time to capture each baby’s unique details. So instead of just trying to commit it to memory which will eventually fade...you have the tiny toes, the cute peeling hands or the swirl in their hair documented forever. Trust me when I say it details like this and photographs of these moments In your life that will only become MORE valuable as time goes on.

A father is neither an a hot to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light who’s love shows us the way.
