Hey friends, If you're looking for a place for encouragement I'd love for you to join us at our Outdoor Service on Sunday at 10:30am. More information can be found at www.cordovachurch.com... Also, as we transition to a new service style, please take a moment to recognize and honor an unsung hero of our online service with the video below.
For those who missed out service this morning, here it is!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQeYt4IvxOM
How are you holding up after this week's Presidential Debate or news that our President has COVID? Many of us are still realing and just trying to take it one day at a time. This week we'll explore Paul's prayer in the opening lines of Philippians and reflect on how it can help us navigate through these every increasingly strange times.
This is our current Fall Donation oppurtunity: From September 27th to October 25th we will be collecting funds to help the town of El Porvenir, Mexico during the holidays. Donations can be made via check or paypal. We ask that you mark your gift as For Mexico.
This week we will reflect on Php. 1:3-8 and how Paul is confident in the Lord to finish the work he began.
Hello friends, An email/letter are going out today to announce that we are offering an in-person worship service for those interested. Please do not feel pressure or guilt if you are not comfortable attending. We love all of our members and guests and we want to extend this invitation as one of many options for worshipping the Lord and encouraging other Christians. We will be livestreaming this service here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqpWFGOpe7edWH9dPoJ8XRw ... We hope you will attend either in person or at home. Also, if you just want to get out of the house but don't want to be around people...feel free to come and sit in your car and watch from your phone!! More information in regards to the protocols for this service can be found at www.cordovachurch.com Next week we will release a series of videos explaining how service will go and walk you through what you can expect if you decide to attend.
Our Fall Donation opportunities will look a little different this year. Here's what Cordova is doing: - Donations for ElPorvenir, Mexico - Instead of collecting shoeboxes for the children of El Porvenir, Mexico, we will be collecting monetary donations. Niños de Baja Orphanage will use this money to help the El Porvenir community during the holidays. We ask that you mark donations as "For Mexico".... - Thanksgiving Baskets - Our Preteens will be making Thanksgiving Baskets for some of the families from Cordova Meadows Elementary School. These baskets will contain everything needed to provide a thanksgiving meal to a family in need. We will be collecting monetary donations toward the purchase of these food items. Please mark your donations as "Thanksgiving Baskets". - Casa Coloma Doves - Casa Coloma Doves will be available for pick up in the church office. Each dove will have the name and wish list of a resident at Casa Coloma Nursing Home. We ask that those who participate purchase and wrap a gift for the individual on their dove and return these gifts to the office.
This week we explore Isaiah's "servant of the Lord" as we begin our new series in Philippians, Undivided.
In an Undivided time such as this, it is important to refocus our hearts and minds on Christ and His mission. This week we begin a new series where we will explore how the Church can stay Undivided.
This week guest preacher Alex English gives us an uplifting message.
Edit: Mom's group will be meeting in the evening: 4pm-5pm. Moms Group will begin meeting again over Zoom. Moms of all ages are encouraged to join in! Moms Group will meet each Wednesday morning from 10am-11am starting next Wednesday, September 2nd.... For more information or to join, please email our host, Alicia Carter, at [email protected]
