Good Morning CTVLL For those who may have missed it, here is an update from our league President: Dear Cordelia Tri-Valley Families, We are cautiously optimistic our season is on the horizon, especially with last week’s news regarding the revised guidelines to youth sports. At this point of our planning process, we are announcing the opening of registration March 1st for each division and the closing of registration March 21st. We do not yet have a specific date for the sta...rt of the season, but we are hoping we can begin in mid-April. Due to so much uncertainty surrounding our potential for a complete season, the league had to make many difficult decisions about how the season will operate. We ultimately decided to approach the spring season like we do for fall ball, which helps us keep costs to a minimum. The registration fee will be $70 per player for all divisions (except intermediate)and will be non-refundable once uniforms are issued. Additionally, the included Assumption of Risk waiver must be signed in order to participate this season. Below are some comments on pertinent items for this season, as well as some league news. TRADITIONAL SEASON ACTIVITIES Many of the supporting activities we enjoy during our baseball season will not be able to happen this year. Unfortunately, there will be no umpires, Opening Day, Snack Shack (limited possibly) and many other programs which involve gatherings. Like everyone, we will operate in a mode of perpetual adjustments as we navigate the health and safety of our community. Activities like Picture Day may happen, but it is too soon to confirm either way. At this point, we are going to focus on our core, which is playing baseball. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REGISTER? Our first request is for your flexibility and patience. As much as we are planning now based on current information, some things will change last-minute due to the changing situation. VOLUNTEERS We need volunteers now more than ever. Managers, Coaches, Team Health & Safety, Team Parent, Field Maintenance, and more. Shortage of volunteers means potentially having to reduce registration numbers. Having to do this would be a tremendous disservice to these kids who need sports now more than ever. We will provide all the training and resources for your role and ensure you are supported. Although it has been a challenging year on several levels, CTVLL is committed to the kids and our community. We are beyond excited to get the 2021 season underway and have the kids back on the fields. As always, we thank you for your support and patience.
