October was Breast Cancer Awareness month and this morning we had the honor of presenting a donation to a organization that is an invaluable community resource. We've heard testimony's from our customers, family & friends about how Michelle's Place Cancer Resource Center has been a light for so many people facing the hardest battle of their lives. We learned today that Michelle's Place Cancer Resource Center is the only FREE cancer resource center in 3 county's and provided resources to more than 3300 people last year. Wow! Michelle's Place Cancer Resource Center was created as a dying wish of Michelle Watson. During her battle, Michelle felt she would have liked a place she could receive some emotional comfort, a listening ear, and an opportunity to talk with someone who was surviving breast cancer and learning to cope with the disease. Today, Miche...lle’s Place provides over 10,000 free services a year to individuals and families impacted by all types of cancers. In order to continue to provide these free programs and services to clients, we rely on the ongoing support of our donors, grantors and fundraising efforts. Through the month of October we are donating a portion of revenue from every new HVAC Installation & Comfort Club Membership sold to this essential community resource! Every pink ribbon patch and pin attached to our Breast Cancer flag represents dollars donated. We are so excited to fill up that flag this month!
