Next time you come downtown you will see a new, but familiar face in our showroom window. Our local artist, John Cerney has had a long friendship with may dad and they worked together on many projects. As a thank you he immortalized Ken Cook with a larger than life mural. He presented it to my dad today and it was met with grins and appreciation. John even sweetened the pot by giving my dad his favorite candy, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. My Dads comment..."I will never forget this day" Even Richard Green helped out since he took the original image that John worked from.

Many of you know that we support the small businesses in Downtown Salinas, and we have an idea to help you lend your support. The holidays are fast approaching and many of your favorite shops and restaurants are struggling to attract your business, because of the covid shutdowns and the construction on Main St and Alisal St. We would propose that if you have a favorite place downtown, that you would not only spend your money there, but also blast your social media with the great details of your past experiences at our shops and restaurants(in other words adopt them). Please encourage your friends and family to buy their gifts downtown, or have special holiday dinners in our restaurants or catered by them. Together we can keep downtown flourishing.
