Hello wonderful HSNB fosters! We are looking for a special foster for a special dog. This is Sosha. She is a 4 year old, loving and goofy girl who is not... doing well in the shelter environment. She needs a special foster who is willing to put in some time giving Sosha basic training. A special group of volunteers at the shelter have started her on a training program, and she has already improved greatly! That being said, she needs out of the shelter and into a calmer environment where she can get the attention she needs. She will repay you in endless love and kisses. Sosha's foster will be coached by the shelter trainer who will continually be a contact and reference for you and there to help at any time. Sosha is not dangerous or aggressive to humans- in fact, she has loved everyone she has met! She simply has not had any structure or training in her past, so has developed some impolite habits. We are happy to have her at HSNB to help her grow and find the perfect forever home! As a special foster, you would be instrumental in setting her up for a successful future. Sosha does not like cats, and appears not to like other dogs. Because of this, she should not be in a setting where she will need to come in close proximity with other animals. She can pull on leash when excited (another thing we will work on!), so needs a strong handler. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with experience training dogs, or someone who would like to learn! This is a chance to truly make a difference in the life of a dog who needs it.
