Robert Fludd's "Temple of Music" (1617), one of the many fine and beautiful illustrations to adorn our latest book of selected essays launched just yesterday. F...ludd's image illustrates an essay exploring the wonderful history of made-up musical contraptions, including a piano comprised of yelping cats and Francis Bacon’s 17th-century vision of experimental sound manipulation. I admit it: I am SUPER proud of this one. I love the way it turned out, but I'm most proud of the fact that I didn't give up! Devising a way to make the idea wo...rk was a real challenge...even with what seemed like the right materials, I couldn't get the fence panels to have any real precision. They looked sloppy, they did NOT make me feel proud, and discouragement was building. With a deadline looming and many failures having consumed two days of idea testing, I was really sure I'd have to bag this idea. It was time to face reality and come up with something that I could not only build on camera, but feel confident that other folks could replicate, too. I vowed to give it one more shot in the morning, and went to bed sure that I'd be scrambling for an alternative idea at the last minute. When I sat down at the workbench that morning, I looked at the litter of failed attempts surrounding me, took a deep breath an dove in...and in only a few minutes the whole system had presented itself! Yay! Thank you, Universe! I'm so grateful to know I can always count on you! Full Video Tutorial Here: https://www.facebook.com/thicketworks/videos/2243709149182151/

Sometimes I find a special stone that speaks to me and I often build a story around it. When I saw this stone I thought of an ocean and thought about us all be...ing on a life journey. Here is the story that I created. I wonder what your story might be...? THE STORY Willow walks near the ocean on a solitary journey. She is taking the time to think and connect with her own inner strength. Willow is slowly letting go and opening herself to a different way of being. She has a heart of courage and believes in strength and light. You can click on this link to my Etsy shop to see prices and more information www.etsy.com/shop/robinwade See more
