I am so grateful and humble to have had my shop on this D Street corner for 12 years. I love surfing, I love Encinitas, I love this community and the people that make up our unique culture. Locals, travelers, groms, rippers, beginner surfers it doesn’t matter. We all share some common threads. Thank you everyone for the love and support over the past 12 years. Looking forward to many more.

If you have been to one of our surf camps in the past few years chances are you know Kira. Kira and her family found out last week that she has an inoperable brain tumor. She is 16yrs old. She has been thru a lot in the past week. There is info up on a Facebook page. Facebook.com/kirasupdates. I would like to encourage anybody who sees this to please check out that page and also share this post. Kira is an amazing person and an awesome mentor to the kids she coaches. I... have so much respect for her and what a great person she is and all the positivity she brings to our surf camps and the kids that she has inspired. It has taken me a few days to even process this as real. #cancersucks and it affects good people without discrimination.
