Good Morning, Everyone! I am happy to announce that we have an amazing new website! Our faithful Compassionators, Stefanie Snyder and Anthony Barragan, have dedicated their time over the past few months to build our new meeting place. A website that has all the information about us, as well as Google calendars for upcoming events. Please take a moment to visit the website and share it with anyone you think would be interested in knowing more about the work we’ve done and continue to do on behalf of our friends who live on the streets. Thanks to Stef and Anthony, we have a platform to build upon going forward. www.compassionthroughaction.org

A few weeks ago, I reached out to you all for help and didn’t even get one reply. I have one faithful friend that is picking up a Pizza Hut donation once a week in Hollywood and handing it out to the homeless. This person can no longer carry the burden week to week. If I don’t hear from at least one person who is willing to sacrifice a little time to help, I will be forced to give up that donation. It would take up no more than two hours of your time on any given day of the week. If you or anyone you know would be willing to help, let me know. Thanks, Jeff P.S. Please no ‘likes’ on this post. They are the equivalent of a middle finger when seeking help.

Hi, Everyone. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy in these trying times. Although we have suspended most of our activities until things get better, we are still doing some acts of compassion thanks to a handful of amazing Compassionators out there feeding people on the streets of LA. They continue to pick up the donated food items from two different Pizza Huts and hand it all out every Thursday. With that said, while it isn’t difficult, it also isn’t easy to... do it every week. So, we are looking for one or two additional Compassionators who would be willing to do the pick up at the Sunset location in Hollywood and hand it out to our homeless friends. If you or someone you know would be willing to chime into this group and volunteer your time and effort maybe one Thursday a month, please let me know. Either comment below or message me for details. Thanks, Jeff

Attention Los Angeles Compassionators! The A Team who has carried the torch since I’ve been gone is ready to proceed with handing out sack lunches again on Skid Row. In an effort to be as safe as possible, we are asking any of you who feel comfortable providing them with 10-20 sack lunches that you and your family put together, let me know and I will get you in touch with them. This will be for Saturday, June 20th. Drop off can be with one of them on that Friday before, June 19th, or the following morning downtown at the Office Depot parking lot at Alameda and 2nd at 8:30am. Leave a comment below if this something you would like to help us with. Thanks, Jeff

Please share: Low-income Americans who do not normally file a tax return, including the homeless, are also eligible to receive the $1,200 check, but only if they enter their information in a new non-filers tool on IRS.gov.
