So many of us are feeling overwhelmed by the Covid pandemic. Keep faith and trust that this too shall pass. Call us if you need a positive word or simply ask questions. Always here to help, we continue to serve our community. Caring from the heart.
Time. Time is a gift we often take for granted. Today I ask you to stop and savour the present moment. Think about who matters, smile at your memories, make that call you have been putting off, simply... take the time. In memory of Jean, who was truly a brilliant light in this world. She was loving and kind to everyone that met her. She lived each day with joy and vitality, even when she was sick. Jean inspired her children and grandchildren to know Christ. Jean showed unconditional kindness to everyone she met. Once I tried to trick her by telling her that I was one of her daughters, I was checking her mental status. She opened her eyes, looked at me and said" No you are not, but I wish you were. " Jean will live in our hearts forever.
In the mid of the continued pandemic, we wanted you all to know that we are here for you for questions, thoughts and care. We accept Covid 19 patients but have not had any who have tested positive. We practice diligence in maintaining precautions. We remain close to our patients and families. Be safe and know that you are not alone.

I look back on many patients who have been diagnosed with Dementia, it's often sad to see them go down a lonely confusing path. Please remember to never speak about them in the past, listen patiently, keep them safe, fed and hydrated, beccome creative in entertainment, and mostly love them unconditionally. They are still your person.
It takes us a few days sometimes to get over our sadness and grief on the passing of our favorite patients before we can mentally regroup .All our patients are like family so this process happens often. Today is one of those days when the tears, smiles and laughter are in replay. We remember Harry as a giant of a man,not because of his size, but because of his spirit and heart. He has accomplished so much in a short time, touched so many, influential in community ,and loving father and husband. To us he was stubborn at times, determined to do things his way and always so much like a teddy bear, that you could not help but love him. He was a sweet dear soul full of courage, even on the last day. We will miss him very much, but we know he is out there spreading fun and joy, because this was just who Harry was.
Yesterday I spent the evening with two lovely sisters watching and loving their dad goodbye. He was a great guy who made a difference in the lives of many. I thought of the sweet legacy he left behind. These women were images of him and wonderful gifts he has given us, how lucky I am to be able to meet them because of him. His passing was peaceful and serene, smiling and making us laugh with his wit and sense of humor even until the end, and this is how I will remember him. Live each day to the fullest, walk the walk, enjoy the journey and rest in peace. See you later John, happy trails, I will miss you.
Yesterday I said farewell to one of the nicest human being that I will ever know. He had a smile that was as captivating as it was genuine. So much history packed into one gentle man and yet so much of his story is left untold. I will miss the whispered conversations we shared as he grew weaker, but his spirit remained strong. I often think that how a person reacts in the face of illness is perhaps a reflection of their true self, Jack was always a gentle soul, pleasant , kind, never complaining..a gift from heaven. Goodbye my friend.
The stories of our lives are told by family, friends and even strangers. When we share our stories people connect.
Not a large cooperation, no fancy give aways,no marketers ,just hard working, dedicated people with tremendous compassion and dedication. Community Care and Hospice, caring from the heart. 805 667 8558.
