Sharing from the Bedford Gallery - help us keep this momentum going by sharing to your page! Help shed light on Community Arts Foundation’s work of giving children and adults access to arts programs in our community each year! For many, the cost of participation in arts programs prevents them from experiencing the joy, satisfaction and wide range of benefits that creative endeavors provide. These experiences are even more important during these days of social isolation. Du...ring COVID, CAF continues to provide opportunities with scholarships for virtual classes. They are also funding a virtual creative writing class for seniors in our community, and for participants at the @TrinityCenterWalnutCreek, which provides services for individuals who are homeless and under-housed. A Trinity Center staff described the class, this is a special hour where everyone feels free to drift into their own inner world of words, language, intellectual and emotional expression. The Foundation’s approach to expanding access to the arts brings comfort, care and community to those who need it most. As a fellow arts organization, we see firsthand the impact CAF has on keeping the arts alive and thriving in our community, even during COVID. That’s why we’re nominating @wc_commartsfoundation for a baby grant from @glassybabyfoundation. DIY Rectivity Packet - Challenges Galore This activity packet is specifically geared towards activities and challenges that your youth can do by themselves that you don't have to plan! Kit activities include: Play-Doh, Sidewalk Chalk, Jump Rope, House Scavenger Hunt, Outdoor Scavenger Hunt, Coloring Sheet and a few special surprise goodies. This packet is chalk full of... challenges for those competitive youth! Jump Rope will be accompanied with specific challenges to do. Task your guardian to upload a TicTok to be entered to win a prize. The Coloring Sheet is a Coloring Contest and Play-Doh will be used to build a monster. Finished products need to be emailed to [email protected] by Jan 30. Winners get a prize from the A+R Dept. Included is a specialty pre-stamped and addressed postcard for your youth to write a special message to a senior in Walnut Creek.
