The teaching staff at Los Padres Head Start provided a learning experience that extended the current curriculum study. Using materials found in the home, families created transportation vehicles and engaged in song and dance. During these times, staff at CommUnify continue to find ways of engaging families using the home as a learning environment. We are pleased to have CommUnify representatives assisting the United States Marine Corps with the annual Toys for Tots drive in Lompoc! This holiday season wil...l be different for most people and we are trying to provide some smiles to those in need. With more than 2,000 children having registered for the drive this year, organizers say donations are still needed, especially for pre-teens. If you are interested and able to donate a toy, they are still collecting at Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building at 100 E Locust Ave, Lompoc, CA 93436 on weekdays from 10 AM - 3 PM. Donations should be brought to the back of the building as there may be no answer at the front door. ***Registration for the Toys for Tots drive has closed and distribution will begin this weekend.
