Come Unto Christ in Fresno

The sun rising in the morning is the beginning of a new day. It's the light that breaks through the darkness and allows us to see. Jesus Christ is the light in our lives that keeps us going. Because of Him we have hope. Because of Him we are free from bondage. Because of Him we don't have to suffer alone through the pains of life. When life seems too dark and dreary to walk through, trust that Christ's light will guide you home. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7

If you are not sure you even believe in God, start there. Understand that in the absence of experiences with God, one can doubt the existence of God. So, put yourself in a position to begin having experiences with Him. Humble yourself. Pray to have eyes to see God’s hand in your life and in the world around you. President Russell M. Nelson has asked us to create a home that is a place of security. Having a place of security spiritually prepares us for the future. "Simply said, a place of security is anywhere you can feel the presence of the Holy Ghost and be guided by Him.15 When the Holy Ghost is with you, you can teach truth, even when it runs counter to prevailing opinions. And you can ponder sincere questions about the gospel in an environment of revelation." How will you make your home a place of security this week?

Thomas S Monson once said "May we ever choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong." We all have the agency to choose right from wrong. Sometimes it may seem harder to do the right things, but those hard moments are what builds us into a stronger, happier and loving person. How have you seen hard things help you grow?

How do you come unto Christ?

When I see the open sky, I think of freedom. I love that God gives us freedom and agency to make our own choices and to do good! I'm grateful for the choices I make that help me grow closer to the Savior Jesus Christ. "Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness." D&C 58:27 What choices do you make to come closer to the Savior?

Heaven lies about us in our infancy. How do you see heaven here on earth?

Holland In times of trial, heaven can help us triumph. We have angels watching over us and a loving Savior there to help us through our times of need. So keep moving forward with hope and faith!

Jesus Christ knows us perfectly. He performed the Atonement for each one of us and understands the trials we face. From the Garden of Gethsemane to the Cross of Calvary, He felt all pain we will ever know. Through the Savior we can experience true peace and joy!
