Join the CCC 2017 Opening Session! An interactive panel/audience discussion on the top 10 highest and lowest verdicts for 2015 and 2016 in the areas of auto/GL, SIU/GL and property litigation. During the presentation, we will present the fact patterns for each of the cases, but not the verdicts. We will then seek input from the audience, asking participants to guess as to the amounts of the verdicts/outcome. The panel will then present the verdicts, along with a discussion of the jury rationale, how venue affected the outcome, application of the law to the facts, intangibles, etc. The objective will be to illustrate the current trends in jury verdicts in the areas of property, liability and SIU litigation, and to show how these trends are affected by differing fact patterns, venues and trial counsel.
