College Veterinary Hospital 26.12.2020

It is with a heavy heart we announce the closing of College Veterinary Hospital. Our lease for this location ends in December, prompting serious conversations as to our future in this area. We have decided to merge College Veterinary Hospital into Village Oak Veterinary Hospital starting Nov. 1. We feel this change will offer our clients extended hours, access to more auxiliary services and additional veterinary diagnostic abilities. We are excited that Dr Amy Lacy will be returning to practice at Village Oak. After decades at College, you can imagine this is not an easy decision, but one we feel will provide the best environment for staff and the best care of our patients in the future! Thank you all for 50 amazing years!!

This is Austin A client brought him as a "stray" that she had been taking care of for a year and a half. He was presented for weight loss, excessive drinking and not eating. Turns out this cat had a microchip and the owner has been looking for him for SIX YEARS! She is very happy to have her cat back. As soon as he went in the room with mom he went directly into his carrier and didn't want to come out. It was his carrier from 6 years ago

Kitten season is in full swing, and we are always excited to start new Kitten Plans for the lucky ones that get adopted. Little Cleo was so cute, we had to take a photo!

Canine Influenza in Manteca. We have been strongly recommending the canine influenza vaccine for the past 6 months as reported cases grew closer and closer. We have been testing all dogs that were suspect to stay ahead of this disease. We now have a confirmed case in Manteca, and continue to encourage influenza vaccines for all dogs.

February is National Pet Dental Awareness Month. Dental health is a very important part of your pet’s overall health, and dental problems can cause, or be caused by, other health problems. Your pet’s teeth and gums should be checked at least once a year by your veterinarian to check for early signs of a problem and to keep your pet’s mouth healthy. We are offering a 10% discount on all dental care during the month of February.
