Calling all children who a love art! Bring your children to this unique class where they will learn not only how to paint, but about the Master Artists of our history. Every 4th Saturday of the month, Colleen Farrell of the Art Studio will be teaching little ones about the masters and they will learn how to paint one of their paintings! ... Every month a different artist will be featured and students will be then given a step-by-step class on painting a replica. During the break, the kids will enjoy a light refreshment of cookies and healthy snacks. Works of art will be displayed during FIRST FRIDAY on the following week and children are encouraged to invite their family and friends to the gallery for a showing of their work! We start classes tonight - and there are still spots available! Join Colleen Farrell at the Art Studio in Tehachapi for a 4 week introductory pottery wheel and clay class. Mondays in January from 5-7 PM OR Tuesdays in January from 3-5 PM... Each student will attend a weekly class (either on Mondays or Tuesdays) and learn the basics of pottery making and techniques. The investment is $120 for the four two-hour classes and includes: - Four Classes (2.5 hours each (time includes set-up and clean-up) either on Monday or Tuesday schedule) - 5 lbs. of clay (additional clay may be purchased) - Kiln time and glazes for three pieces completed with initial clay. Classes will be: Mondays January 6, 13, 20 and 27th from 5:00-7:00 PM or Tuesdays January 7, 14, 21 and 28th from 3:00-5:00 PM Participants may choose either Monday or Tuesday sessions. Payment must be received prior to class to reserve spot and spots are limited. The class fee is NON-REFUNDABLE . A one-class make up will be available for those that might miss one class (only one make up per session will be allowed unless other arrangements have been made.)
