Hi! Our friends at PaleoWest have a great opportunity for a project in Vietnam and are looking for a US citizen fluent in Vietnamese to serve as translator. PaleoWest is looking for a translator to work with archaeologists on a potential project in Vietnam. The project team will be excavating a US Military aircraft in a remote region of Vietnam with the objective of identifying the remains of missing US soldiers from the war in the region. The translator would need to help co...mmunicate between American archaeologists and soldiers, and Vietnamese archaeologists, local residents, and government officials. American citizens with a US Passport, fluent in both English and Vietnamese are highly preferred, currently. Pay will depend on relevant experience, plus federal per diem. #throwbackthursday to #SCAmeeting2019 when the weekend's full-throttle flurry of activity left some of our team looking for a power nap. Most of the team came back hoarse, symptoms of all the quality conversations we had the opportunity to share in. We obviously have a vested interest in efficient, paperless field tools for archaeologists, so we might be a bit biased, but the level of excitement shown in response to our app was exactly what we had hoped for. Getting to hand off iPads and licenses to clients in-person at the meeting was also a fantastic moment.
