T...his weekend I had my military drill weekend, but I’d also received a referral on Friday. The prospect needs to begin care soon. Having an idea of when I could leave today, combined with communication with the referral source and in this particular situation...having a direct line of communication to the decision makers in the company, Coast Care Partners, makes a huge difference because this prospect wants to begin care tomorrow! This is why we are a level above. We are nimble. We are able and capable to work within our referral sources’ and prospects’ unique situations rather than every referral needing to be cookie cutter M-F. Yesterday it was beautiful seeing the Coast Care Partners team come together as the family we are to appreciate our Home Care Assistants and clients that were a...ble to attend. As you can see in one of the pictures, some of our staffing team were still diligently working away. They’re the best! Message from our founder/CEO David Chong: What a massively festive day in the office today! 75+ HCAs stopped by for our open house, where we distributed paychecks, exchanged ideas, scheduled shifts, and got to know each other better. (and a handful of clients as well). Gift bags for attendees were a hit. Alan and Donna conducted a full NHI with a dozen recruits in the scheduling office. Thank you to everyone who prepared and socialized today. I’ve worked on numerous teams in this industry and I say without hesitation that this one does in fact operate with respect, professionalism, and fun!!! The key in what David said about yesterday was the exchange of ideas. Here at CCP, it doesn’t matter what your position is in the company; we listen to each other and consider all ideas. I must admit that I’m horribly guilty of not doing what I’m about to advise and I’m willing to accept the guilt because the reminder is necessary. Folks, the ho...lidays can be a very trying time for our elders. Think about it. In many situations their families are geographically separated and they’ve now established their own web of family. In many situations our elders’ long time, always there friends have passed away. Our elders’ worlds, sadly, become smaller and smaller as they age and at no fault of their own they become increasingly isolated. This is a reminder to reach out to aging family members, friends, acquaintances. Reach out to elders that aren’t even your family to let them know you’re there.
