A Message to our Patients: During this stressful and uncertain time, Coastal Family Dermatology would like to reassure you we will remain of service to our patients. We feel it is important to continue to care for our patients while also keeping everyone safe and healthy. Please see our infectious disease prevention protocol as follows:... Extra cleaning of all hard surfaces in common areas with healthcare facility grade cleansers. Hand sanitizer, facial tissues, no-touch trash receptacles in the common area. Hand-washing sink available for patients upon entry and departure. Rearranged waiting room to allow more spacing between seats. Making extra confirmation calls to screen patients and re-schedule accordingly. Teledermatology appointments are available via Healthlens for spot checks, acne follow-ups, medication refills. Please see our website to schedule an online visit. We are working on adding virtual HIPPA compliant visits as well. Surgical excisions of skin cancers will remain on schedule. Offering phone-in check-in from your vehicle for the following: * High risk individuals (>65, immunosuppressed, heart disease, diabetes, lung disease) * If you are ill and you have an urgent matter that can not be rescheduled. Phone-in check in is as follows: Call from your vehicle. A medical assistant will call to review your intake, greet you in the lobby with a protective mask. You will then be brought directly to a room to limit potential exposures. During this time we also ask our patients to reschedule if you have even mild upper respiratory symptoms and your visit is not urgent. Currently we are rescheduling for 4-6 weeks as a safe estimate. During this time, please refrain from bringing additional family members into the appointment if possible. We can video-conference with additional family members (parents, spouses, caregivers) to review care and address additional questions. We thank you for your patience and kindness as well as your continued patronage. Warmly - Our entire team at Coastal Family Dermatology
