October is American Pharmacists Month time to recognize pharmacists’ contributions to health care and share the positive impact of your work on the front lines in our communities. During the pandemic, pharmacists and pharmacy personnel have stepped up to make sure the public is cared for, even at the risk of exposure. Every pharmacist, student pharmacist, and pharmacy technician is making a big difference and you have a story to tell. From immunizations to COVID-19 issues to patients’ acute and chronic needs, pharmacists are essential providers of accessible care. We are grateful for your contributions to the profession and the health of your patients. Take a moment this October to thank your peers and colleagues, share your stories, and spread the word about the valuable services pharmacists provide.

Today, September 25, 2020, we celebrate the millions of pharmacists worldwide with World Pharmacists Day! This year’s theme is Transforming global health. The annual day is used to highlight the value of the pharmacy profession to stakeholders and to celebrate pharmacy globally. The purpose of World Pharmacists Day is to encourage activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world. Pharmacists are the reason why people get the best from their medicines, they are using their experience, knowledge, and expertise to make the (healthcare) world a better place for everybody. Moreover, they give access to medicines, advise people on how to properly take them, and so much more! Thank a pharmacist today and let them know they are appreciated!

Please join us in congratulating our P3 Student of the Month, Hoa Doan! Hoa has been recognized for her great passion to serve underrepresented communities, her strong work ethic in and out of the classroom, and her selflessness to help her fellow classmates. We also want to congratulate our Team of the Month: Angeline Le, Tony Huynh, Vy Tran Luu, Navi Shergill, and Khanh Phan. In the light of COVID-19, classes moved from on-site to online.
