Delish and nutrish! Happy Thanksgiving! Here is a tip to make your holiday more comfortable! 1. Slow Eating = Chewing Thoroughly. It seems that many people have forgotten what teeth are for. The more you can aid in digestion by chewing your food thoroughly, the less the rest of your digestive tract will have to work overtime. Use your teeth! They are not just for photos. 2. Take 5 deep breaths (yes. . . your belly should move) before each meal in order to put you in a... relaxed state that will allow your digestive tract to function more effectively. Plus, this will jumpstart your lymphatic system to flush out. Deep breathing increases lymphatic detoxification by 14 times. 3. If you are stressed out, think of 5 things that you are grateful for while you are doing your deep breaths. Gratitude is a natural stress neutralizer. It is impossible to feel stress, fear, or anger when you are truly feeling grateful. 4. It is better to use a smaller plate or serve yourself a smaller portion initially instead of overserving yourself from the get-go. This simple habit will give your brain time to catch up to tell you when you are full, before getting too full. It can take up to 20 minutes for your brain to register how full you are. Many people still have a subconscious belief that they need to finish everything on their plate and this is a surefire way to bog down digestion if you had too much on your plate. 5. Cut down on the water or other liquid intake during meals. The excess liquid dilutes your stomach acid and pancreatic enzymes making you more likely to experience bloating or indigestion after meals. It is similar to dowsing a fire with water. Keep your liquid intake to no more than 5 ounces and never, never, ever have ice in your beverage during a meal. Hot tea, some wine, or room temperature water are good choices. See more

I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. We’ve all said it, right? Recently, my bridge was business during this pandemic. We got to the other side by assessing what was working & creating plan to lower costs by taking the clinic virtual Problems arise in life, but I try to approach each metaphorical bridge with a positive attitude, no matter the situation! Have you had to cross any bridges lately? I bet you have during these crazy times!
