What is the biggest disadvantage of having a range of printers from different manufacturers in your facility? Perhaps many, but one of them is definitely the differences between the equipments' color output transactions. In this particular case initially, an Océ Arizona owned by one of our customers, had a colder gamut of 4 color OEM, while his Vutek's OEM gamut was much warmer and way wider by using 8 colors ( CMYKLcLm LyLb) scheme. Even if you have an ICC magician in you...r pocket who is familiar with all the bells and whistles (if not, we have one), it hardly can be solved: the ink from different manufacturers is developed based on different types of pigments. Wait a minute! But why do the prints in the picture below look similar? Now, both of the printers are using LIPLA UV ink. Ink is the blood of the printer! It is very important that the ink is fresh, saturated with the highest quality components and the best pigments available on the market. If you do not adhere to this elementary rule, your printer will sooner or later expect a thrombosis. An example is in the photo. Are your inks capable of solving non-standard tasks as well as #liplainks? In most cases, the answer is no, and one of our customers' case study is an excellent example of this. The simple task of printing on yoga mats revealed a large number of almost identical problems for most of the popular brands on the market, and unfortunately, not a single one was the ideal solution for this particular task.
