Saturday 8-8-20 On our way to pick up an extended family (most hiked the 12 miles in and out) camped at the North Fork of the Kings River. When you do the math ... that’s a typical 24 mile day for us... Video credit Bill Lovelady

Saturday ~ 8-8-2020 In this little flower pot before heading down into the Kings River.... there is a (dry now) snow pond, an ancient Fir tree with a lightning scar our dog Dinkey running to catch up, and the glorious Kings River Canyon once we have crested the rim.

Tuesday, July 14th A long days ride into the Park, due to the downed trees and brush making the route difficult even on horseback. Soon to be cleared Thanks Bill Lovelady for the video and the company. We had a few exciting moments and you are always a welcomed companion on the trail

Tomorrow we take in ( thankfully ) this fine Kings Canyon National Park Trail Crew, to clear the way to Tehipite. They will be in for 5 days working and clearing the down trees on the trail, as well as other things! Soooo grateful for their time. REALLY!

Shelter in ~ sort of Social distancing ~ yes It’s reassuring to check out our facility when we can. No natural hazards so far.
