Pilates gets a shout out on the Today Show! You already know that Pilates increases your core strength, balance and mood, but a new study shows that your belov...ed low-impact workout does not spread COVID-19 when tested in small groups. Club Pilates offers your own workout station, a small class setting and a studio that's cleaner than ever before. Your Space. Your Place. Check out an additional study linked in the comments below.

At Club Pilates, one of our core values is Inclusion & Community, and we stand behind providing a welcoming, safe and supportive space for our members, employees and community. It is time to be strong in our solidarity. We need to shed light on justice for all people in a time of injustice. We cannot stay silent about things that matter. This must be stated unequivocally: Black Lives Matter. We don’t have all the answers.... But we do have empathy for those who are hurting. We believe in peace and justice for all. We support the black community and the fight to end racism. We can, and should, take time to grieve the tragedies that have unfolded in recent weeks. We can, and should, take action for positive change. Visit @clubpilates page for a donation opportunity to @colorofchange. What action can you take? LISTEN. EDUCATE. SUPPORT: View resources to support Black Lives Matter at blacklivesmatter.com/resources. Sign up to join the movement with @colorofchange (colorofchange.org). Donate to anti-racism efforts and vote in your local elections. #BlackLivesMatter #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #ItcomesfromtheCORE

The breath. It is the most vital aspect of our existence. Unfortunately, we tend to hold our breath during stressful situations, when carrying heavy loads, or even during Pilates exercises. When we hold our breath or even maintain a shallow breath, we can actually be putting the work into opposing muscles and creating pain and imbalances. Breathing deeply in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth brings oxygen into your body, enables you to keep proper alignment, and even assists in your efforts throughout your day. Don’t be afraid to breathe. Think of shallow or short breaths as limiting your range of motion. Instead, let’s move you to your full capacity. Take this time for one big inhale through the nose...and big slow exhale through the mouth.
