We had a fantastic meeting tonight. Great job, toastmaster Nancy for making tonight’s meeting so remarkable. Wonderful job! Today’s Theme of the Day / Tema del Dia was Transcreation / Trancreacion and the Word of the Day/ Palabra del Dia was Adapting / Adaptar. We had three outstanding speakers tonight: Gabby Hernandez: Adventures for my tree Os (in English), Marliz Copado: Leading in your volunteer organization (in English) and Addie Schnirel (in Spanish). Our table topic ...master Lily did a nice job incorporating the theme of the meeting into interesting questions. We do not have our meeting next week. What an incredible meeting! We had a chance to ponder about our theme for the day: Hope/Esperanza. Erika shared a thoughtful speech about self-care during a pandemic (Tip #1: Nourish your body with fruits & veggies ) Cecilia gave an inspiring icebreaker, sharing her journey to finding her voice as she launches her new YouTube series .... Amazing job to our Toastmaster Victor, thank you for a great meeting. See you all next week as we continue to practice our public speaking and grow in leadership!

Yesterday we had a great time at the (virtual) beach. No sunscreen required! Theme: Going to the Beach| Vamos a la Playa Word of the Day: Swim| Nadar ... Marliz led a fun and inspiring meeting. Members joined in wearing beach essentials: sunhats, towels, and a summer vibes . Renesha gave a fantastic Icebreaker speech. During table topics, Lili helped us figure out the things to have, and things to avoid, at the beach (aka socks!). We also had many first timers: Francisco as linguistics coordinator, Pia as SAA/Zoom director, Marliz as TM online, and Terry with a Spanish speech online. Great job everyone!
