It’s alive ! After over a year of sitting , the ‘71 R75/5 racebike is alive ! New Dyna coil, Dyna module, and it cranked to life in seconds ! Next is to mount the very abbreviated S fairing (if you close one eye and squint with the other, anyway) a good bath and then off to marketplace ! This R75/5 has been converted to a Long wheel base, has a 1000cc top end, 4sp trans, a /6 disc front end, the parts to add a second disc (both discs EBC Pro-Lite) BMW 336 Sport camshaf...t, lightened flywheel with starter intact, total-loss ignition thru the Dyna, a huge MotoBatt AGM battery, custom Corbin tall Gunfighter seat, C&C products fork brace, adjustable steering damper, a reinforced swingarm, will come with Progressive Suspension standard steel body shocks. We are located in Central California in Clovis, near Fresno . Parts shipments have improved lately . My British parts come from either JRC Engineering in Perris, CA or from Coventry Spares Limited in Massachusetts. Three day priority shipments is mainly what I use to get your parts to me and they are now taking only three days. Previously, they were taking 4-5. ... Large parts orders from Massachusetts still take approx 7 working days . Hagon shocks are 4-5 working days to me. We are well clear of the fires but the sky's are gray with smoke and daily our cars are covered with the ash that falls from the sky . We haven't seen the sun out fully in probably 10 days. It's been too hot to work in the my home shop past 11am . Riding is out of the question but relief is in sight . The Turlock Motorcycle Swap meet is on for this Sunday, Sept 13 but with the heat and poor air quality I won't be going. Mexico ? How in the world did a 1953 T100C get all the way to Tepic, Mexico ? And it’s in great shape ! Over the years some parts have been scavenged from it but no worries ! New levers with Mag and choke adjusting mini-levers , cables , points, peg rubbers, amp meter sent off last week ! ... Hopefully in a few weeks there will be a video of it running . The current owner has had the bike for years with parts avail hopeless he thought . With a few phone calls, I had rounded up everything he needed ! Stay tuned ! See more
