Hello, friends. Time for another quick post answering some frequently asked questions. We are open for apple picking, from 10am to 4pm* Saturdays and Sundays. We are not open weekdays. "When is the best time to come?" In a normal year, this would be an easy question to answer. This year just keeps on giving surprises. We are experiencing four or five times our normal traffic. Even though we made our parking lot significantly bigger this year, we're still seeing peopl...e queue in the street for much of the day. Early in the day has typically been the worst, but be prepared to wait to get parked. Please keep your entire party in the vehicle until you're parked. We'll get you in as quickly as we can! THERE IS NO STREET PARKING. Cars parking on the street are very likely to be towed. We've got lots of apples left in the trees. Currently we have Fuji and Gala for picking. *To ensure you have enough time to pick, you must arrive by 3pm to go into the orchard. We close the gate at 3:30, and the store is open until 4pm. Wow, we're almost halfway through the season already! We wanted to post to answer some questions that keep coming in. We currently don't have a fee for entry. You pay for what you pick in the orchard, and any other goodies you get up at the barn.... Apples are $2.50/lb whether you pick them from trees or the stand. We don't currently have a method for reservations. CARPOOLING IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. You may have heard last weekend was very busy, and it certainly was. You can help mitigate that, and ensure that your entire party gets parked and picking at the same time by carpooling as much as possible. We've been asked many times, "What's the best time to come?" Well, 2020 sure is an interesting year all around so far, and our 10 years of experiences with the crowds and parking are pretty much out the window. :) That said, some things haven't changed. We're definitely busiest in the morning, by far. We open the gates pretty promptly at 10am, and we close pretty promptly at 4pm. As such, if you're hoping to go into the orchard to pick apples from trees, please arrive by 3pm, so you have enough time to pick, get checked out, and enjoy any goodies you buy at the barn. We've had a lot of folks asking if we're open this weekend. YES! The fog's burning off, and the air's clearing up (better than yesterday for sure!) Weather's great, and there's not a huge crowd. We've got plenty of pops, turnovers, juice and bread available as well.

Oh, my word! Thanks to all the folks that have come out today. We knew it was supposed to be hot today, but we had no idea it would be THIS hot! Brave souls out there picking, though I suppose a frozen(ish) apple pop makes it all little more bearable!

Hello again, friends! We'll be opening this Saturday, September 5th, at 10am! Face coverings will be required, as well as social distancing. We've made some structural changes this year, that will hopefully mitigate some of the hassle created by social distancing. We've also made some pretty significant changes to parking this year. We should have more than enough parking for everyone now! Please be patient as we work out the kinks, and please be kind to the kids we'v...e made volunteer to help you get situated. ;) Feel free to call or message us in advance if you have any questions. Hello friends- We just wanted to give everyone a quick update as we head into the 2020 season. First off- We WILL be open! Things will be a little bit different this year, but we're doing our very best to ensure everyone still has a safe and fun picking experience. Barring any radical change in guidance from the county and state, masks will be required to enter, and we're arranging things to ensure we can all remain comfortably distant. Please bear with us. We, like eve...ryone else, have never been through this before. Now onto more recent challenges. We're closely monitoring weather conditions, and especially air quality. While our orchard is not currently in any danger from fire, there are fires burning to the north and south of us, and the air quality here is currently pretty bad, to say the least. While we're still a couple weeks out from our typical opening weekend, we're going to have to see how things progress between now and then. When folks would call before the last weekend, and we'd say "there's tons of apples still in the trees," we weren't joking. :) Here's the last 6,000 pounds getting ready to head off to the commercial juicers in town. This is one of 7 or 8 similar loads!

Thank you to everyone that helped make 2019 a standout year for us. A great crop of apples is just the start. 9 weekends of fantastic weather helps, too. Ultimately, it's the people that come to Clearview that really make the memories for us, whether you've been coming for years (we love seeing your kiddos grow!), or this was your very first time apple picking, we really appreciate you coming out! We've wrapped up now for 2019. We hope to see you again in 2020!

We've been blessed with a really outstanding crop, amazing weather and, most of all, great people this 2019 season. Hello, folks! We wanted to let everyone know we WILL be open this weekend. The PG&E power outage has not affected our location. We'll be open with all the regular goodies and an AMAZING crop of delicious apples. Hope to see you!
