This great article from Healthline gives some excellent tips on how to improve your eating health without fad diets or extreme measures. Our top 4 favorites: 1.... Slow down - Take your time eating, be present, and really enjoy your food. Our brains don't register the effects of eating until about twenty minutes after starting to eat. We can fit in a whole lot of extra calories in twenty minutes! 2. Drink water - Often times when we feel hungry we are actually thirsty; drinking plenty of water aids with digestion and helps us to feel sated. 3. Get plenty of rest - Sleeping too little impairs appetite regulation; folks who get plenty of rest tend to have a healthier body weight. 4. Become more active - you know we at Tri Valley Trainer are all about this one! When we're more active, it helps regulate a bevy of bodily systems the result in overall better health and happiness. Share with us your favorites from this article! There's a whole lot of excellent suggestions here. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/healthy-eating-tips

This article from Brian St. Pierre, MS, RD at Precision Nutrition is hands down one of the best that this trainer has ever read regarding better eating habits. ...It is simple in approach, but all-encompassing in terms of it’s far-reaching effects. One of the best things that most of us can do for ourselves is learn to slow down our eating. Slowing down aids in digestion, losing or maintaining weight, and increases overall satisfaction. What more can we ask for? https://www.precisionnutrition.com/all-about-slow-eating

A great article from Mayo Clinic about balance in fitness. While activities such as jogging and biking are great, varying the planes of movement and loading pa...tterns leads to increased mobility, joint health, and balance development. Similarly, working opposing muscle groups equally leads to balance in the anaerobic muscular system that lowers the risk of injury. Working with a qualified personal trainer is a great way to address both of these issues. https://www.mayoclinic.org///fitness-training/art-20044792
