Claremont Community Church 12.12.2020

Hey, all! Krista here! It's been so long since I've had the opportunity to talk with you all... figured it might be fun to share a bit today! Some of you may have noticed that I've included the song "Prince of Peace" by Hillsong United on several of our "Worship Sets" lately, but it's not really one we've done in service before. It is such a poignant song and is loaded with meaning so I wanted to share a little background from its writers, which you can find in the video ...below. Have even more time? Check on this video: https://youtu.be/rIqUTMHl9Cs (also shared in a separate post), which was filmed live in the Holy Land and at a refugee camp. In several interviews, not linked here, various band members share how they felt so clearly that God's peace was present, even in the midst of horrific circumstances. It was like the song came to life right in the middle of the camp. You guys, I love the heart behind this song--the idea that God's peace meets us EXACTLY where we are and with EXACTLY the measure we need. Pastor Jim talks today about how PRAYER AND PRAISE ARE THE PATHWAY FROM PANIC TO PEACE. This song features so many poignant reminders of God's presence and how He meets us at the point of our need. It is my prayer that this can be a tool that enables you to connect more deeply with God's truth this week and deeply experience His presence. He is so very near, no matter how dark or crazy or out of control things may feel. He is HERE. He is our Prince of Peace and He will carry us through whatever we are facing now and in the future. Our job is to commit to praying and praising and seeking Him in the midst of the darkness. When we show up, we will find He has been present with us all along. Love you all! Hope this song encourages you as you go throughout your week!

Check out the previous post with a little background on this song. Then, come check out this live recording, filmed in the Holy Land and at a refugee camp where God's peace was especially present, even in the midst of horrific circumstances.
