Ride out the Storm Funny looking back to the time when I first painted this almost 4 years ago. Well here we are .. the same message holds true. Inspired by our current state of the world and politics..... We all must ride out the storm & rise higher and higher with a message of love. Don't allow yourself to get sucked into the whirlwind and chaos of hate, ego, judgement, greed and war. This is a reminder that we are each given a powerful choice in how we choose to walk our path in life. Hopefully many choose to vote not by their pocketbooks, but by a conscious connectivity to the world around them. Love instead of fear will always win. Recently I was reminded about the power of one of my paintings. She hangs over the fireplace of a dear collector and friend, and it is a forever reminder to her and her husband of when they first met and their journey together. This painting I painted when I first met my husband .. and it was the feeling you have when you suddenly know your have found the one. Everything you once saw alone.. now takes on a different light, a different magic. Sharing life’s journey with anot...her who gets you.. who loves you for you. Well 12 years and 2 kids later, Sometimes you forget that. The hard moments in life, ( no one tells you how hard it truly is to raise good little human beings ) and sometimes you are just surviving, and not thriving. The magical moments are harder to see...But they are there, they always are there.. it just takes more work to see that magic that first brought you together! this painting serves as such a positive light.. a vision board if you will of manifesting that spark and keeping it going. Nothing better than waking up early when all you hear is the sound of the wind in the trees, the birds chirping, and Cosmo at my feet as we hit the ground running on this beautiful island- Orcas. This little path around the lake feels like a secret and not a soul in site... sigh. food for the soul and a painting in the making...
