Kicking-off in January 2021, th California Climate Action Corps will deploy Fellows with state and local government agencies, grassroot organizations, universities and colleges. Climate Action Corps Fellows will focus on organizing and implementing climate action projects with an Emphasis on volunteerism and community engagement. The Local Government Commission is recruiting 50+ Fellows for the first cohort. The new program is administered by CivicSpark, but the type of work Climate action Corps Fellows will be doing is more community-focused and would involve community engagement more heavily than CivicSpark projects.
