Sheriff's ASTREA (helicopter) uses a loudspeaker when sear...ching for a missing person or suspect. Announcements are also made during critical incidents such as a SWAT standoff, disasters, crowd management events or to give people a shelter in place notification. This is not an automated or a push notification service. You still need to call or text "Hello" to (858) 866-HELO each time you hear Sheriff's ASTREA making announcements over your area. If there is more than one active broadcast at any given time, you have the option to choose the message that impacts your location. Santee’s Fire Department Receives Top Notch ISO Rating Doing More > Due East to Keep Santee Safe The City of Santee is proud to announce, after a thorough Ins...urance Services Office (ISO) evaluation, our Fire Department has achieved a Class 1 Public Protection Classification rating which is the highest level of recognition available from the Insurance Services Office. The top rating places Santee amongst the ranks of only 38 fire departments in California and 393 departments nationwide that have earned the distinction. The effective date of the new rating is March 01, 2021. Temporary Road Closure on Cuyamaca Street Due to a water main break on northbound Cuyamaca Street between Prospect Avenue and the eastbound onramp to SR-52 this... section of the road is closed. Southbound Cuyamaca Street is open to traffic and the adjacent MTS Trolley Line is still in service. We hope to have the street back open as soon as possible. See more

Santee City Hall is officially on the list of polling sites and will be open 8am 5pm from October 31 November 2 and 7am - 8pm on November 3, 2020. The polli...ng location will be in building 8P. Make sure to check SDVote.com before arriving on site to ensure you have everything you need to vote: If you want to drop off your mail in ballot, site is open for that. If you want to complete a PAPER ballot, you must go to your designated polling site (check website).
