Drive Safe RC! Please use caution while driving as the strong winds are causing dangerous driving conditions. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep these tips in mind while driving: Drive with caution: Downed trees and unexpected debris have been reported throughout the city. While driving, slow down, allow plenty of room and if debris is blocking your lane, check to see if there are other cars around prior to changing lanes. Traffic Signals: If you approach a tr...affic signal that is non-operational, treat these intersections as a 4-way stop. Clean up Efforts: Public Works Crews are very busy working to clean up wind debris citywide which may cause traffic delays or lane closures. For the crews safety and yours, please slow down and give them plenty of room to work. Crews are doing their best to tackle the extremely high volume of wind damage reports. #DriveSafeRC

During Community Planning Month, we want to celebrate getting back to our roots and the foundation of our #RCcommUNITY! The City's eastern community of Etiwanda has the distinction of being the first town planned by William & George Chaffey who purchased the land in 1881 from Joseph Garcia, a retired Portuguese sea captain. The innovations in city planning, subdividing, promotion, beautification, and most significantly irrigation for which the Chaffeys would become famous, were first tested in the Etiwanda colony.
