Free, weekly COVID testing at the Murrieta Community Center is now taking place on Fridays. You can pre-register anytime for Friday's event at http://bit.ly/CityofMurrietaTesting. This is a self-administered mouth-swab, test, with results in about 48 hours. When you pre-register, you will get a confirmation code, but not an appointment slot; just bring your confirmation to the site between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday. You may also register at the site. Yesterday, several-concerned citizens reached out to Murrieta Fire, our 9-1-1 professionals, and City Hall concerned with the appearance of a fire truck in a lo...cal political parade. The fire truck shown in the photo below is not related to Murrieta Fire & Rescue in any way. It looks like the fire truck is older and possibly retired from another fire agency and now owned by a private person. Again, this is not a Murrieta Fire & Rescue fire truck. We appreciate each American’s right to vote how they choose on Election Day. It is not within the guidelines or operating procedures of this agency to promote or advertise for any political candidate on any platform.
