Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all those who have served! Monterey has a rich military history dating back to its founding in 1770. Here is a picture of the 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry, also known as the Buffalo Soldiers, at the Presidio of Monterey ca. 1903.
