From 2008 to present-day, La Palma has continued to transform and progress, building on to its core values of vision, family, pride & ownership, opportunity and security. Sustainability has been key to La Palma and a challenge for a small community developed years ago as primarily a bedroom community of single family neighborhoods. At 1.8 square miles we are the smallest city by area in Orange County. We also enjoy a unique and lucrative location for commercial and industria...l businesses with easy access to Orange County and Los Angeles County. Our small size is an advantage in recruiting businesses and families to the community. Public services are more responsive and accessible because of our size. It is also key in building a sense of family and connectivity within the community and the City organization. Therefore, many families remain in La Palma for decades. Thank you for watching the final episode of "Countdown to the 65th Anniversary!" Tune in next week on Dairyland / La Palma's 65th Anniversary of Incorporation (Monday, October 26, 2020) for a special Commemorative Message to the City! [Source: City of La Palma Archives]
