Assalaamu Alaikum, Thank you so much to our dear friends, supporters, families, alumnI, and even teachers for making Giving Tuesday a success. Whether or not your funds received the match from Facebook, we pray InshaAllah each dollar was matched in multiples by Allah (swt)! Our work is not done. Help us achieve our goal so we can fund operations, need-based scholarships, and COVID-19 upgrades. Every dollar counts and no amount is too small! Jazakum Allah khayr.

Thank you to CKS alums Ahmad and Ayasha for discussing the @questbridge application with some of our students! Ahmad and Ayesha (CKS ‘19 and ‘20) are attending @pomonacollege and @stanford on full scholarships . Pro college personal statement tip: Keep your story authentic! Students always struggle with what to write, and the bottom line isit doesn’t matter! As long as it’s an authentic story that shows who you are (and through that, what you will bring to their school a...nd community) the topic can be as mundane as (in Ayesha’s words) sparkling water. Are you creative? Innovative? Curious? Organized? Meticulous? A dreamer? Someone who will challenge norms? A leader? A doer? Thoughtful? An athlete? An artist? A dreamer? A person who failed and learned from it? A person who learned and grew from a totally ordinary experience? Whatever it is, and no matter how ordinary your story is, if it is authentic and tells the reader more who you genuinely are, it will shine through! #cityofknowledge #cityofknowledgeschool #islamicschool #collegeadmissions #collegeessay #questbridge #questbridgescholar #questbridgematch
