The guidance for youth sports establishes a consistent set of rules that apply to all youth sports programs including school-based, club, and recreational programs. Outdoor and indoor sporting events, assemblies, and other activities that require close contact or that would promote congregating, such as tournaments and competitions, are not permitted at this time. Youth sports and physical education are permitted only when physical distancing of at least six feet and a stable cohort of participants, such as a class, can be maintained. Activities should take place outside to the maximum extent possible. Getting tested is one of the few specific steps beyond following basic guidelines such as wearing a mask, social distancing and avoiding gatherings that residents can take to help us move into the state’s Red Tier, Moving to Red Tier will allow us to reopen more schools, churches and businesses The County needs to test an average of 216 people per 100,000 residents per day to meet the state’s requirements for reopening additional businesses and schools. Our current average is 190 people per 100,000 residents per day. Click her for your nearest testing centerhttps://sbcovid19.com/testing-sites/
