Covered CA just released a statement that they have created a new Qualifying Life Event for those who didn't realize about the penalty that they will incur for not having insurance. The best time to do it is by March 31st which will not incur a penalty on their taxes. The last day for this Special Enrollment is through April 30, 2020. We know that does create an added step for them on their taxes, but it definitely gives them the opportunity to enroll in 2020.
