A recent study by NIOSH and the University of Iowa concluded that workers in a rural setting were more likely to have high occupational exposure to vapor gas, dust, and fumes than their urban counterparts. Approximately 43% of rural workers in this study had significant occupational VGDF exposure, compared to only 15% of urban participants.
